President Barack Obama is fond of honoring championship teams and will now dip back into the Richard Nixon regime by saluting the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins on August 20.
When we last heard from the ’72 Dolphins on a significant platform, they were moonwalking on the football tombstone of the 2007 Patriots after Super Bowl XLII.
Now, ol’ Barry is going to do something Richard Nixon failed to do when he was President of the United States…pay respect to the NFL’s only unbeaten team during the Super Bowl era.
All of this for a team that won their three playoff games by a combined 17 points.
