After starting the season 9-0, the Kansas City Chiefs have entered the “Dusty Rhodes Hard Times” Zone following a last-second 41-38 loss to the San Diego Chargers in Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
As you can see from the win expectancy graphic above, Kansas City snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against Phil Rivers and friends.
It’s the second straight loss for the Chiefs, who will host Denver next Sunday.
Today’s defeat could prove even more crushing depending upon the status of Kansas City pass rushing linebackers Tamba Hali and Justin Houston, whom both left the loss with injuries.
Another loss next week, and the Chiefs can start penciling in their plans for Wild Card Weekend during the first weekend in January.
