New Orleans wide receiver Marques Colston threw away a chance for the Saints to reach the NFC Championship on Saturday when he decided to throw a lateral across the field in hopes of setting up a potential game-tying score.
Nope.
Instead, Colston threw it forward when he could have easily stepped out of bounds with seven seconds left.
Colston’s gaffe caused a ten-second runoff and directly led to the end of the game in Seattle’s 23-15 playoff victory ver the Saints.
Did the Saints deserve to win the game?
Probably not. However, Colston’s errant throw sure didn’t help.

It was a horrible decision. I just don’t get what he was thinking either.
