Don’t try the great Cameron Newton.

That’s the lesson teammate Josh Norman learned the hard way on Monday after the cornerback intercepted Newton during practice.

Following an interception of Newton, Norman headed downfield to return the pick for a score. En route to scoring, Norman launched a stiff arm and one of the game’s richest quarterbacks did not enjoy what ensued.

Once Norman knocked Newton’s helmet off, things escalated further. As teammates separated the two, Newton said to Norman, “Hit me like that again. I know something.”

When a bunch of random backups start fighting, that’s one thing. However, when your multimillionaire quarterback gets into a fight, that is a bit troublesome.

Someone may be having a word with Mr. Norman about this.
