Perhaps the most surprising storyline of the NFL offseason came to an end on Friday when former Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman signed a deal with the Washington Redskins.
Norman inked a five-year deal worth $75 million including $50 million guaranteed.
Just months after helping the Panthers reach Super Bowl 50, Norman and Carolina’s brass could not reach a long-term agreement. Thus, he eventually became a free-agent and is now a Washington Redskin.
Last season, Norman enjoyed a career year while playing for one of the NFL’s most formidable defenses.
His arrival to the defending NFC East champions will also renew his rivalry with Giants star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Last year, the two engaged in one of the season’s most mind-numbing in-game fights in league history.
Now, we will get the matchup twice a year thanks to Norman’s arrival into the NFC East.
Finally, some spice back into the NFC East.
