Tom Brady announced on Facebook on Friday that he no longer intends to fight his four-game suspension.
Brady thanked many over the past 18 months in his post including Bill Belichick, the New England Patriots, NFLPA, and Patriots fans.
Brady’s absence kicks in at the end of the preseason when he’ll be banned from all team activities. He’ll miss games against the Cardinals, Dolphins, Texans, and Bills.
Meanwhile, the NFLPA announced that it reserves the right to still appeal to the Supreme Court even without Brady’s approval.
A part of me is glad this over but there is an overwhelming sense of dread that when the collective bargaining agreement runs out, we will be without football for a good while.
