The NFL officially announced on Sunday night that Justin Timberlake will be the headliner for the Super Bowl LII Pepsi Halftime Show in Minnesota.
Timberlake, who has put together a brilliant solo career post-N’Sync, will finally get a chance to bring his one-man act to world’s biggest stage.
Super Bowl LII will actually mark the third time Timberlake will perform on Super Sunday. He appeared during Super Bowl XXXV in Tampa as a part of N’Sync. He last appeared in February 2004 during New England’s win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl XXXVIII at Houston’s Reliant Stadium.
Oh, about that performance. He’s definitely not performing “Rock Your Body” in Minnesota.
The last time he did that ditty, it led to Janet Jackson’s boob popping out at the Super Bowl. There’s a greater likelihood you’ll Donald Trump and Colin Kaepernick performing a duet during the halftime show than seeing Timberlake perform that one.
Nonetheless, it should be a fun halftime show.
