Also, read in amazement as I write this without using the name “Peyton […]

The old axiom is that “defenses win championships”. According to that theory, the Saints might be in a bit of a pickle on […]

The latest salvo comes from the Colt of all Colts.

As it turns out, that injury might be far more serious than the Colts initially let on. Freeney’s […]

However, Manning and the Colts proved to be just too much and moved on to Super Bowl XLIV in Miami with a […]

In perhaps what might be the biggest AFC Championship game mismatch at quarterback ever, Mark Sanchez and the Jets will attempt to slay the dragon that is Peyton Manning and his […]

It’s Time

While he did win Super Bowl XLI MVP, Manning posted one of the worst postseason runs for a Super Bowl winning quarterback of all-time. He threw three touchdown passes but posted seven interceptions and did not have a single game passer rating higher than 81.6. Despite slaying the Patriots on the way to winning the Super Bowl, something just seems missing from Manning’s resume.

He is missing THAT game. That hammer performance in a championship game. Montana had three monster Super Bowls; Unitas had the ’58 NFL title game; Brady had Super Bowl XXXVI & XXXVIII; Elway had back to back Super Bowls, both endearing in different ways. What is Peyton Manning’s defining postseason moment? The 2006 AFC title game? He was ok in Super Bowl XLI but far from lights out. He still needs THAT game.

Quoth the Colts Nevermore

Peyton Manning, who is undergoing his third name change of the season (went from Peyton Manning to “The Sheriff” and to “18”), did enough (2 TDs) to hold […]

Manning Wins MVP Award…Again

[picapp align=”center” wrap=”false” link=”term=Peyton+Manning&iid=7452418″ src=”b/f/5/1/Indianapolis_Colts_v_5739.jpg?adImageId=8881113&imageId=7452418″ width=”380″ height=”256″ /] Despite all of the Drew Brees, Phil Rivers, and Chris Johnson talk, it was relatively obvious that the MVP award was Peyton Manning’s to lose. As it turns out, he didn’t lose according to Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star.
