Erin Andrews Meets The Bat Of MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred

ErinAndrewsFOX’s Erin Andrews got a bit of a surprise at the end of Tuesday night’s MLB All-Star Game coverage. Andrews stood next to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred as he presented Anaheim Angels outfielder Mike Trout with game MVP honors. Oddly enough, the trophy isn’t a classic trophy…it’s essentially a crystal bat. Unfortunately for Manfred, he accidentally jabbed Andrews with the bat below the belt. EAAllStarAWKWARD.

The commish has done a fine job with baseball this season including Monday night’s surprisingly fun All-Star Home Run Derby. Alas, we’ll give him a pass on this one. However, that doesn’t make it any less awkward.

Meanwhile, the MLB All-Star Game is the final big assignment for Andrews before she hops back into NFL action as a sideline reporter for FOX’s top crew of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.

The next time Manfred and Andrews will occupy the same stage will likely be in October at the conclusion of World Series when MLB’s trusty commissioner presents the World Series trophy to baseball’s new champion.
