According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Philadelphia Eagles have dealt quarterback Donovan McNabb to one of their chief rivals, the Washington Redskins for undisclosed compensation.

Schefter’s sources claim the Redskins will send their 2010 second round draft pick (#37) and a 3rd or 4th round pick in 2011 to the Eagles.

It was clear from the beginning of this process that the Eagles wanted to rid themselves of McNabb with three quarterbacks potentially entering the final year of their respective deals. However, it is very intriguing that they opted to trade him within the division. I’m sure McNabb’s first visit to Philadelphia this season will be must-see TV.

The much-anticipated Kevin Kolb era in Philadelphia is now upon us.
