The shield announced today that the 2010 NFL schedule will finally come out on Tuesday, April 20.
The league’s 256 game schedule will be unveiled during a two-hour program that airs on NFL Network.
I’m guessing the season opener will be Minnesota at New Orleans as a rematch of the NFC Championship game. The prevailing logic against that happening would be holding that one off until November and for higher ratings potentially. However, considering the age of one the game’s prospective participants, the earlier that one is played, the better.
The last game in the Superdome from the ’09 season should be the first to start the new season.
Let’s hope for Favre/Brees on opening night and not for Tav Jackson/Brees. That would not turn out well.
