Darrelle Revis is back with the Jets after agreeing to a four-year, $46 million deal on Sunday night. The new deal includes $32 million guaranteed.
The all-pro cornerback will play next Monday night when the Jets open up the season at home versus the Baltimore Ravens.
Upon his return, Revis tweeted “I’m coming home baby!!! Revis Island. Let’s go.”
The agreement came on the heels of a visit paid to Revis and his uncle, Sean Gilbert, in South Florida by Jets head coach Rex Ryan and owner Woody Johnson on Saturday.
His 35 day holdout is over. Now, the Jets get back to the business of realistically reaching Super Bowl XLV.
Without him, that goal was not going to be reached.
