According to ESPN and the NFL Network’s Mike Lombardi, the Randy Moss trade to Minnesota is expected to be finished on Wednesday.
In exchange for Moss, the Patriots will receive Minnesota’s 2011 third-round pick.
The true winner in this scenario is obviously Minnesota, who desperately needs someone to stretch the field without the injured Sidney Rice in the lineup.
Finally, Brett Favre got his man.
Meanwhile, the Pats are gambling, sort of.
If you read anything out of Boston regarding Moss, it was pretty clear he wasn’t coming back in 2011.
Now, the Patriots don’t have a deep threat unless you believe in Brandon Tate running fly routes.
Moss will have a chance for revenge very soon. The Vikings make a trip to Foxborough on Halloween.

To quote the Spurbury Police Chief from “Super Troopers:”
“Desperation is a stinky cologne.”
The Vikings are awash in it…
