Prior to the beginning of the season, the last thing on the mind of Jerry Jones was a 1-4 start for the Cowboys.

However, after another undisciplined effort yesterday, that is their reality after a 24-21 loss at Minnesota.

While Jones insists that head coach Wade Phillips is safe, the problem is far greater than the head coach.

One week after Marc Columbo received a celebration penalty following a Jason Witten touchdown versus Tennessee, teammate Miles Austin followed suit by doing the same yesterday after a Roy Williams score.

Collectively, the Cowboys seem to be missing “it” and don’t get “it.” Unless such a transformation takes place, they will miss the playoffs in 2010.

Kudos to Football Outsiders for accurately predicting a Dallas dip in ’10.

Paging Bill Cowher…paging Bill Cowher.
