If you missed Sunday night’s 60 Minutes, CBS aired a glowing profile of St. Anthony basketball coach Bob Hurley.
The 39-year veteran of St. Anthony in Jersey City is seemingly a one-man gang, revenue-generating machine for the Friars but most importantly, helps mold young high school kids into college-bound men.
A member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, Hurley receives an annual stipend from St. Anthony that has never topped over $9,000. Yet, he still resisted the allure of the “next level” and kept the school afloat in the cash-strapped state of New Jersey.
Good job coach.
