Roy Halladay Returns To Toronto

After receiving a standing ovation yesterday while turning in a lineup card, Roy Halladay returns to the mound at the Rogers Centre in Toronto –  a place he called home for 12 seasons before the Phillies acquired him in a December 2009 trade.

Philadelphia won the first battle of this three game series yesterday, 7-6, thanks to some shoddy defense by Juan Rivera and a two-run single by Ryan Howard.

Today’s focus clearly falls on the sizable shoulders of the Doctor.

Even though he is not at Citizens Bank Park today, consider today’s event in Toronto another house call for 2010 National League Cy Young.

By the way, if you have the chance, check out Kathy Anderson and her crazy Canadian ways.

I was down with this song until the 3:04 mark. Low blow.

  1. It was really nice to see Roy Halladay get the reception he deserved in Toronto. He was the classiest player an organization could ask for. In his time on a sub-par team he never complained or asked for a trade unlike some other Toronto players we could name. He deserved to go to a great team in the Phillies and get all the opportunities to win a championship because if anyone deserves the chance it is Roy Halladay.

  2. I will immediately snatch your rss feed as I can not in finding your e-mail subscription hyperlink or e-newsletter service. Do you have any? Please let me know in order that I could subscribe. Thanks.
