Mark Sanchez

Bro In White Pants Wanted To “Fight” Rex Ryan

Mark Sanchez graces the cover of the September GQ  and discloses a litany of non-essential information including the story regarding why he wanted to “fight” Jets head coach Rex Ryan.

As he was prone to do in his first two seasons of NFL action, Sanchez endured a late-season slump, which featured the 45-3 beatdown courtesy of the New England Patriots and a shocking 10-6 home loss to the Miami Dolphins.

During the USC product’s struggles, Ryan considered benching his second-year starter.

After being informed of Ryan’s decision to give backup Mark Brunell extra practice reps from offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, Sanchez became upset that word didn’t directly arrive from his head coach.

Sanchez stayed in the lineup and admits in the article that he was “upset” and wanted to “fight” New York’s leader.

Perhaps if the Glee and Justin Bieber fan wasn’t the official quarterback of wild-card weekend on NBC, maybe his coach would not have these thoughts.

Sanchez owns four road wins during his first two postseasons. Ryan would gladly trade those for wins for a few more home games and a Super Bowl berth.

Oh yeah, Ryan would smoke Sanchez in a fight.
