Victor Cruz’s Salsa Puts The Jets On The Edge Of Playoff Extinction

Happy Holidays everyone! Hopefully, Santa Claus or your other holiday celebrations treated you well.

After a brief hiatus, it’s time to get back to the grind and what better way to do that than examining one of the season’s biggest busts.

Days after the Kate Upton/Mark Sanchez story hit the internet, the Jets picked a lousy time to play one of their worst games of the season against the New York Giants on Saturday.

The 8-7 Jets are now in grave danger of missing the playoffs after losing 29-14 to the Giants on Christmas Eve. A Jet playoff berth happens with a win over Miami on Sunday, plus a loss by Cincinnati, Tennessee, and the Raiders or Broncos.

All of those scenarios are rather plausible.

San Diego visits Oakland; Kansas City travels to Denver in the Kyle Orton Bowl; Tennessee plays at Houston; and Cincinnati hosts Baltimore.

None of those games are layups for the prospective playoff teams but it seems likely that one of those scenarios will lead to New York missing the playoffs.

All of the bravado, GQ magazine spreads, and off-season acquisitions have led New York to the brink of missing playoff football.

At least Jets fans will not have to suffer through losing another AFC title game if they don’t make it.

Anyhow, sit back and enjoy the salsa dance of Victor Cruz after his game-changing 99-yard touchdown catch.
