Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay appears to be making his thoughts on Peyton Manning’s neck injury rather clear on Twitter today.
Irsay stated that the Colts need to be prepared for what is to come if Manning is not ready to go for the team’s season opener on September 11 at Houston.
The part-time musician asked fans on Twitter who would be a good veteran quarterback to bring in if Manning can’t play right away.
Through two preseason games, the dastardly duo is 19 of 43 for 273 yards with a touchdown and four interceptions.
As they await Manning’s return, the Colts could develop into one of the lockout’s biggest losers.
Unable to treat Manning’s neck injury with team doctors consistently due to lockout rules has put the Colts in a tricky spot. If he can’t return in time to start the season, Indy’s reign at top of the AFC South could be in big trouble.
