I’m a sucker for the rarely seen “big man with football” scenario and it reared its gigantic head once again in Foxborough during 2-0 New England’s 35-21 win on Sunday.
Defensive tackle Vince Wilfork went for a stroll after intercepting San Diego’s Philip Rivers late in the second quarter. His display of quick hands setup a Stephen Gostkowski field goal and was one of four Chargers turnovers on the day.
While I’m a fan of Wilfork’s work, it still doesn’t beat Keith Traylor’s lumbering effort in 2001.
