The ongoing soap opera “As Tim Tebow Turns” continued on Sunday as the Broncos erased a 10-point halftime deficit to defeat Oakland, 38-24.
Tebow carried 12 times for 118 yards and also tossed two touchdown passes but it was Denver’s rushing attack that crushed the 4-4 Raiders.
The Broncos amassed 299 yards rushing including 163 yards and two touchdowns from Willis McGahee, who returned from a hand injury.
Tebow finished 10 of 21 for 124 yards and played mistake-free football unlike his counterpart Carson Palmer.
During his first start as a Raider, Palmer threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns but was also intercepted three times. Through two games with the Raiders, opposing defenses intercepted Palmer six times.
The 3-5 Tebows continue their AFC West road trip next Sunday at Kansas City.
