Vice President Joe Biden made a rather noticeable mistake while speaking to a group of supporters in San Francisco on Thursday.

Biden told the audience that the “Giants” would win on Sunday and advance to the Super Bowl.

 A student of the “cheap pop” school of public speaking, Biden attempted to garner support with the crowd by appealing to the 49ers.

Unfortunately, the New York Giants will be opposing the 49ers on Sunday. Whoops.

After his mistake, Biden apologized and stated he confused the 49ers with the Giants, San Francisco’s baseball club.

The Giants may very well reach the Super Bowl but Mr. Biden had another team in mind.
