During Thursday night’s Lakers/Celtics meeting, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo decided to do something rather odd with a few New England Patriots in the Garden.
After getting the opening tip, Garnett hiked the ball to Rondo, who then turned his back to the basket and proceeded to snap it to himself.
I’m guessing it was some sort of nod to Vince Wilfork, Tiquan Underwood (he is back with the team), Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, and Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who were in the house on Thursday night to see Kobe Bryant’s Lakers defeat Boston 88-87 in overtime.

The hike was fun, but letting Wes Welker take the last shot wasn’t such a good idea.
