It looks like Tim Tebow is doing his best to mirror and replace Jets starting quarterback Mark Sanchez.
According to the New York Post, the newest Jet quarterback is shopping for a home in the same community as Sanchez:
“[Tebow] really wants to live there,” said a source.
The $10,000-a-month, four-bedroom house that’s on the radar of the deeply religious Tebow is similar to the cottage in which the swinging “Sanchize” lives at the exclusive Trump National Golf Course community in Bedminster, NJ.
Both cottages are next to Olympic-sized swimming pools — and are a football’s throw apart.
Well, that is shaping up to be a bit awkward.
Hours after news broke on Wednesday regarding Tim Tebow’s trade being held up due to money, word trickled out that the former Bronco was given say as to where he wanted to play – either with the Jets or Jaguars.
Reportedly, Tebow decided there was a greater potential to start for the Jets.
Yes, that could very well be considered a tremendous dig at Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, who despite signing a contract extension must bounce back after being called out by his teammates.
Conceptually speaking, regardless of what anyone thinks about Blaine Gabbert, the Jaguars burned a first-round pick on him in 2011. They need to find out if he can play.
Sanchez’s warts are evident and hasn’t shown a lot of growth during his first three seasons in the NFL.
Even though Gabbert (or Chad Henne) doesn’t appear to be a prize, the decision to play for the Jets could pay off for Tebow.
The awkwardness between Sanchez and Tebow could be tremendous. Maybe they could share stories about Kate Upton to break the ice.
