In case you missed it on Monday, the NFL made available some of the evidence discovered on the computers of the New Orleans Saints.
Suffice to say, these findings (or lack thereof) didn’t make Jonathan Vilma and company very happy.
Perhaps, the most bizarre piece of evidence found stemmed from a slideshow presentation shown to the players prior to the team’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks during the 2010 playoffs.
A picture of “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” along with pictures of dollars, was featured in the pre-game display.
Also, it’s alleged that quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and running back Marshawn Lynch of the Seahawks had bounties on their head entering the contest.
Clearly, using “Dog the Bounty Hunter” in a slideshow presentation was a logical thing to do from the Saints’ perspective to help promote the bounty gimmick.
However, are you that surprised that the Saints laid an egg after that presentation?
After all, it’s “Dog the Bounty Hunter.”
That’s not exactly reciting Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream Speech.”
Bounty or no bounty, I expect more out of a recent Super Bowl champion than that rubbish.
In fact, here are 50 inspirational figures (mostly New Orleans-centric) the Saints could have used instead of throwing up some arbitrary photo of Duane “Dog” Chapman in a PowerPoint:
