How is this for creepiness?
The first play of Andrew Luck’s career was a 63-yard touchdown pass to running back Donald Brown on a screen play during Sunday’s 38-3 shellacking of the St. Louis Rams.
Fourteen years ago, Peyton Manning also completed the first pass of his career for a touchdown pass to Marvin Harrison during a preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Based off of Twitter, it’s pretty obvious that Colts owner Jim Irsay is excited about the new era of Indianapolis Colts football.
Brown’s touchdown was a part of a productive start for the rookie quarterback from Stanford. Luck completed 10 of 16 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns in Indy’s preseason opener.
As a point of reference, Manning threw 26 touchdowns and 28 interceptions during his 3-13 rookie campaign with the Colts in ’98.
