Michael Vick sure is feeling emo these days.
Once Philadelphia sealed up a 17-16* win over Cleveland on Sunday, Vick’s ego got a much-welcomed boost. You see, Michael saw doubt in the eyes of his teammates after the Eagles quarterback nearly out-Brandon Weeden’d, Brandon Weeden by tossing four interceptions:
“My teammates all just had this sudden look in their eyes as if they were wondering what was wrong with my attitude,” Vick said. “Why was I hanging my head? They’d never seen me like that before. I just felt like I let them down. It’ll never happen again.”
(rolling eyes…)
“I’m just glad I was able to pull this game out, man,” Vick said. “I better get out of Cleveland.”
(rolling eyes again…)
I’m not even going to pull a Brady or Manning card out for this one.
Have you ever heard Joe Flacco talk like this?
Secondly, this is Vick’s 10th year as an NFL quarterback. Why is he talking like some second-stringer from a Division II school in his rookie year?
Good lord.
Baltimore is up next for Vick and the Eagles. We may need to get Tony Robbins on the phone for this one.
Pining for the Nick Foles era continues…
*Was Pat Shurmur asleep when Cleveland went up 15-10 after the pick-six? Why didn’t he go for two?!!!?? Looks like he did a solid for Andy Reid.
