While his role with the Patriots may or may not be diminishing since New England might jump to some form of conventional football, Wes Welker recently assessed the nose injury suffered by Tom Brady last Sunday against Tennessee.

On his quarterback’s ability to take a hit and maintain good looks, Welker held back little according to the Boston Herald:

“He’s such a good-looking guy,” Welker said. “Obviously, he gets banged up, and he’s probably the toughest metrosexual I’ve ever come across.”

Despite Welker dropping a bad throw pass from Brady late in Super Bowl XLVI, they are still BFFs. 

Welker probably wished he had that much traffic come his way on Sunday. He caught just three passes for 14 yards last Sunday.

When Welker is catching passes from Ryan Tannehill in Miami next year, he’ll be longing for that tough metrosexual to throw him the ball.
