In another sign that America goes for the “flavor of the month” and is finally accepting the football mortality of Tim Tebow, it appears that the popularity of concussed Jets starter Greg McElroy is on the rise.
According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, McElroy’s t-shirt jersey was the most popular seller among AFC players over the past week.
Wait, what?
Yes, Greg McElroy, who supplanted both Mark Sanchez and disgruntled scrambler and inaccurate passer Tim Tebow, as New York’s starting quarterback.
It’s a true sign of just how lousy New York’s quarterback play was throughout the ’12 season; and just how desperate Jets fans are for a savior.
You’ve got to love Jets Football 2012.
It’s FAAAAAANNNNTASTIC.
