The Ravens were backed by an MVP performance by Joe Flacco in their Super Bowl XLVII win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
Ravens wide receiver/kick returner Jacoby Jones had a large say in the evening’s events as well.
Late in the second quarter, Jones hauled in a 56-yard touchdown catch (his only catch of the game) to extend Baltimore’s lead to 21-3.
After a sensational halftime show by Beyoncé, Jones opened the third quarter by returning second half kickoff 108 yards for a score to push Baltimore’s lead to 28-6.
While Flacco will get plenty of credit (and rightfully so), the big plays of Jones are quite responsible for fortifying another Super Bowl victory for the Ravens.
