While most of New England’s offseason attention has been related to the many injuries of Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski, its fellow tight end Aaron Hernandez, who is set cause a major disturbance in Foxborough.

Hernandez is reportedly tied to the homicide of Odin Lloyd, a 27-year old linebacker of a Massachusetts semi-pro football team.

Authorities originally discovered the body of Lloyd on Monday found about a mile from Hernandez’s Massachusetts home.

After not being originally linked to the crime by authorities, details on Wednesday night suggest Hernandez had some involvement in the homicide.

FOX 25 in Boston reports that Hernandez was the driver of a car that included two other passengers and Lloyd shortly before he died.

One of the most damning pieces of news arrives from Ted Daniel of FOX 25 in Boston:

Local police searched the home of Hernandez on Tuesday and then returned once more on Wednesday.

Last summer, Hernandez signed a seven-year contract worth over $41 million.

To say this is a mess, would be a gross understatement.
