After Dez Bryant was asked if his mom was a prostitute years ago during the NFL Scouting Combine interview process, it shouldn’t be a surprise that teams got a bit weird with quarterback prospect Blake Bortles during Combine stint. 

To the uninitiated, Lindsey Duke is the girlfriend of Bortles. While her beau was slinging passes for the University of Central Florida, Duke became an internet star. 

Alas, for better or worse, NFL scouts do their homework and were quite aware of Duke, according to a Bortles appearance on the Dan Patrick Show on Wednesday.

“Nothing was really that bad. I got a couple girlfriend questions,” Bortles said. “If I had one, some awkward … if we come to town will she be there for dinner and stuff like that.”

 Oh geez. 

I’d love to know which teams took that line of questioning with Bortles. 

Regardless, Duke is going to be an immediate star wherever she lands.

Meanwhile, recent mock drafts have Bortles going in the top 10 of the draft with a possible landing spot being Minnesota.
