Yesterday was not the first meeting between Denver Broncos safety TJ Ward and New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Last season as a member of the Cleveland Browns, Ward nailed Gronkowski’s knee and in turn, New England’s star tight end suffered a torn ACL.
During Sunday’s Broncos/Patriots game, the two met again but with different results. Gronkowski dominated the day with over 100 yards receiving and a touchdown.
However, Ward may have made another concerted effort to catch Gronkowski low based off a photo that is making the rounds on Twitter.
Ward appears to target Gronk’s legs again in an effort to take him off his feet…or possibly eliminate him from the game.
Luckily for Patriots fans, Ward isn’t in the Bernard Pollard Zone of Patriot killers. It appeared though it wasn’t due to a lack of effort on Ward’s part.
