The New England Patriots are back on top after completing 10-point fourth quarter to win Super Bowl XLIX in shocking fashion over the previously defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, 28-24.

But about that call…

Before we offer up the bouquets for Tom Brady and don’t worry…they are coming in mass but Pete Carroll opted to call a pass play facing a 2nd and goal from the New England 1 after another miracle pass play against the Patriots in a Super Bowl.

Instead of simply calling a handoff for Marshawn Lynch, who had 102 yards rushing on the day, Carroll called for a Russell Wilson pass.

The result was Super Bowl history and the worst call in Super Bowl history.

Undrafted rookie Malcolm Butler intercepted the Wilson pass and the rest is history.

More to come…
