Stop me if you’ve heard this one before…
It appears someone has hacked an athlete’s social media account.
Darrelle Revis, who made his triumphant return to the New York Jets after helping the New England Patriots win Super Bowl XLIX, goes by the Instagram handle of revisislandtwo4. After being harassed by a Patriots fan, hilarity ensured:
Revis used Instagram to dispel the notion that he wouldn’t have reached the apex of his professional career without the assistance of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.
Being a bit defensive, Revis used the c-word to make his point about how HE was the man who brought the Vince Lombardi Trophy back to New England.
Or did he?
Soon after the outburst, Revis took to Twitter to state that his Instagram had been hacked and that this was all a hoax.
I’d like to think that Revis wouldn’t be this clownish to deal with Instagram trolls.
When you’re a millionaire with a Super Bowl ring, do you have to remind people that you’re a millionaire with a Super Bowl ring?
Arguing with trolls is the ultimate exercise in futility for Revis.
