New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall spent the earlier portion of this week telling the media that he is one of the top pass catchers in the NFL.

While trailing 17-0 to the Philadelphia Sproles, Marshall caught a pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick and grabbed a first down. However, as fell to the ground, Marshall decided to throw a lateral while surrounded by a pair of Eagles defenders.

Philly recovered Marshall’s gaffe. The Jets challenged the call but lost. Eventually, Marshall rallied to catch a touchdown pass to get the Jets on the board.
