Some people are legitimately wondering if Sunday’s Game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors is the biggest game in NBA history.
While that is debatable, the ticket prices may reflect such a claim. Game 7 of the NBA Finals is averaging between $2200 and $2800 per ticket according to TiqIQ, a ticket aggregate site.
That price is in the neighborhood of Super Bowl XLVII when the Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers back in February 2013. The average ticket in that contest sold for $2,479.
Helping that astronomical ticket for the last game of the NBA season, is one soul who decided to pay $49,000 for a ticket.
With all that is at stake on Sunday including Golden State’s alleged claim of being one of the greatest NBA teams ever; and LeBron James’s place in history among the items, no wonder Sunday in Oakland is a hot ticket.
