For Some Reason, Twitter Decided To Kill Joe Flacco

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco did not die on Wednesday night. However, if you were hovering on social media at some point last night, you may have thought otherwise.

A Twitter account called Ravens Nation tweeted that Flacco had passed away on Wednesday. However, it was later revealed that the aforementioned Twitter account was hacked and thus, led to Flacco’s death announcement.

Meanwhile, this account is not affiliated with the Ravens, who filed their own tweet to dispel any rumors about Flacco’s demise.

This marks the second time in a month that an NFL figure was pronounced dead via social media.

Last month, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell fell victim to a Twitter hack after someone compromised the league’s Twitter account to announce the league’s boss had died.
