There is one spot left for Super Bowl LI. The winner faces the Atlanta Falcons in Houston at Super Bowl LI.

6:42 – Edwin McCain is singing the National Anthem…wait, WHAT? This Edwin McCain?

Yep. That’s the one. Let’s play some football, y’all.

6:45 – Patriots win the toss and elect to take the football. Hmm…

FIRST QUARTER

6:46 – It’s raining in Foxborough early on.

6:46 – Brady hits a big one early to Julian Edelman after some lousy tackling by Pittsburgh. A 41-yard gain deep into Pittsburgh territory.

6:47 – Steelers playing coverage against Brady. Huge break for the Steelers. Rookie receiver Malcolm Mitchell drops a 3rd and 1 pass. Remember that one. He hasn’t played in weeks. Could be important later on.

6:49 – Gostkowski heads in to salvage the drive with a field goal.

PATRIOTS 3, STEELERS 0

6:53 – Steelers gonna Steelers. Two straight runs to Le’Veon Bell. 3rd and 1 bomb to Sammie Coates falls incomplete. If the Patriots score six on this drive, trouble is ahead.

6:56 – Early political hot take:

6:58 – Patriots guard Joe Thuney gets obliterated on a 3rd and 11, which allows Pittsburgh’s line to come up with a third down sack to close an ugly Patriots drive.

7:03 – Cab Calloway (Le’Veon Bell) taps dances some more but Malcolm Butler breaks up a lob downfield to Antonio Brown. Good pressure so far by Patriots D. Just good enough anyways.

7:08 – Patriots drive underway as Dion Lewis joins the proceedings for New England.

7:12 – Brady has a cup of coffee and a cigarette, takes a nap, and then finds Chris Hogan in the back of the end zone for six on a 16-yard strike.

PATRIOTS 10, STEELERS 0

7:15 – Speaking of the Steelers, FOX’s Terry Bradshaw is trending. Let’s take a look as to why:

Wow. Fair enough.

7:20 – First quarter ends with the Steelers digging out deep in their own end with a couple of first downs. Meanwhile, Le’Veon Bell is injured and on the sidelines. GASP.

END OF FIRST QUARTER: PATRIOTS 10, STEELERS 0

7:22 – This was the Hogan TD. Pretty lousy coverage here…

SECOND QUARTER

7:23 – Finally, the Steelers are awake and deep in Patriots territory.

7:26 – New England suffers a notable loss of their own. Defensive end Trey Flowers is down. The youngster has been one of their best defensive linemen all season.

7:28 – Great drive by the Steelers is capped by a DeAngelo Williams touchdown run. He toasted the Patriots last year but you know, your starter is Le’Veon Bell. The Steelers show they don’t dig prosperity by missing the extra point.

PATRIOTS 10, STEELERS 7

7:31 – Oh man. Steelers things happening to the Steelers.

7:38 – The Patriots cha-cha down the field thanks to Chris Hogan, who accounts for Brady’s 60th touchdown pass off a flea flicker from Dion Lewis. Two score game again.

PATRIOTS 17, STEELERS 6

7:43 – Pats might need a hard 31 to 35 points to win this game. Steelers O is heating up.

7:44 – By the way, the Hogan TD is the PEAK OF TECHNIQUE.

7:44 – The Steelers might be able only to punt like two more times. Patriots O putting that much pressure on Steelers defense.

7:51 – Steelers closing in on another TD… 3rd and 8 from NE 19.

7:52 – Roethlisberger to tight end Jessie James for six….but it appears he’s not in for a touchdown.

7:53 – This is basically what happened in my Madden sims. The Patriots can’t stop the Steelers and New England offense has huge gains in this passing game. NERD STATUS.

7:57 – James TD overturned….Pats trying to save time for one more drive. Steelers at the 2.

7:58 – Steelers botch a 1st and goal from the 1. After two run stuffs by Pats, Ben is incomplete to Eli Rogers. Field goal time. Bad missed opportunity there for Steelers.

PATRIOTS 17, STEELERS 9

8:04 – Patriots try to get something going before halftime but good coverage by the Steelers prevents a field goal attempt. We’ve arrived to halftime with the Patriots out in front…but the Steelers get the ball first to open the second half.

HALF: PATRIOTS 17, STEELERS 9

8:06 – In other news, a brief summary of the NFC Championship between Atlanta and Green Bay:

8:17 – Second half is ready to begin. Pittsburgh ball.

THIRD QUARTER

8:20 – It took a few but the Patriots produce a pass rush to force an incomplete pass. Thus, it’s an early punt for the Steelers to start out the second half.

8:22 – Martellus Bennett apparently gave Johnny Manziel a ticket to tonight’s game. Johnny Football is wearing a Brady jersey.

8:28 – Brady converts on a 3rd and 1 sneak….but then fumbles…maybe…Pittsburgh recovers but the officials rule New England football. Tough to overturn. Not even sure he wasn’t down already.

8:31 – Call stands. New England ball.

8:33 – Brady leads Mitchell just a little too much on a third down throw, which forces Gostkowski out for a field goal. He connects to put the Patriots up by 3 again.

PATRIOTS 20, STEELERS 9

8:43 – Pittsburgh stalls out in New England territory and opts to punt a 4th and 7. Meanwhile, James – one of their key cogs in the game – suffered an apparent injury on the third down drop.

8:45 – No Le’Veon Bell over the rest of the way.

8:47 – Pats can’t run against the Steelers but it doesn’t matter. Brady hits Chris Hogan over the middle for a big gain into the red zone.

8:49 – A tremendous run by LeGarrette Blount is punctuated by a one-yard scamper. Danger zone time in Foxborough.

PATRIOTS 27, STEELERS 9

8:55 – Patriots force a fumble of Eli Rogers and turn it into a touchdown pass to Julian Edelman. Somewhere, Roger Goodell is vomiting.

Gostkowski channels last year’s AFC title game and shanks the extra point.

PATRIOTS 33, STEELERS 9

9:00 – Steelers have entered blowout land but quickly moving the ball downfield. Closing in on a score…

9:02 – A Brown catch inside of the 20 draws Pittsburgh closer to the end zone but rapidly running out of time.

END OF 3: PATRIOTS 33, STEELERS 9

FOURTH QUARTER

9:04 – Steelers taking forever to score points…

9:08 – Logan Ryan breaks up a fourth down lob. Turnover on downs. Goodnight, Pittsburgh. Still a lot of time left but that was a great opportunity to cut down the deficit.

9:12 – The “Where Is Roger?” chants are in full effect.

9:14 – The Patriots miss on a 3rd and 6. Punt time. The party in Foxborough is going to begin in about 30 minutes.

9:18 – Another Pittsburgh error. This time it’s former Eagles cornerback Eric Rowe intercepting Roethlisberger.

9:24 – Patriots tack on three more points after the Rowe interception. It’s just about over but the shouting here.

PATRIOTS 36, STEELERS 9

9:32 – A little too late for the Steelers but they finally get on the board again with a touchdown pass to Hamilton. A two-point pass to DeAngelo Williams cuts the deficit to 19.

PATRIOTS 36, STEELERS 17

9:42 – Patriots are running out the clock and heading back to Houston where they will likely have to answer a few questions about Donald J. Trump.

9:49 – General Brady takes a knee and it’s all over. Pittsburgh has been exterminated:

FINAL: PATRIOTS 36, STEELERS 17
