INSERT JOKE HERE ABOUT PATRIOTS OWNING MORE JETS.
Yes, that joke went around plenty on Tuesday after the New England Patriots announced they will commandeer two team-issued jets for the upcoming season.
New England becomes the first NFL team to actually buy its own jets. The team acquired two Boeing 767 planes to assist with travel this season…and based off their late-season schedule, they’ll need it. Their 2017 travel slate includes trips to Denver and Mexico City.
As any great team would do in terms of travel, you’re going to know they’re in town. The Patriots logo is all over the plane while the tip of the aircraft includes the team’s five Lombardi trophies.
While this will certainly increase the universal hatred of the Patriots, it’s worth it. This is a move straight out of the Dallas Cowboys/Jerry Jones hubris playbook by Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
Can you imagine what they’ll do if they capture a sixth Super Bowl crown and tie the Steelers for most Super Bowl wins ever?
