New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft clearly is not afraid to hang with folks with Philadelphia ties after Super Bowl LII last February.
Kraft, along with Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin (and his fiancée), rapper Meek Mill, spent time in Las Vegas last weekend to celebrate the 22nd birthday of Sixers guard Ben Simmons.
Sounds strange, right?
Not exactly. Kraft and Rubin are friendly. Also, the Patriots owner has visited Meek Mill while the latter was in prison, which is notable in regards to NFL current events.
Meek’s “Dreams and Nightmares” was the anthem for the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles during the ’17 season and their entrance song on Super Sunday.
While Meek Mill will always be linked to the 2017 Philadelphia Eagles, it’s pretty evident Kraft is far from holding any indirect grudge against him for supporting the team that prevented RKK from claiming a sixth Lombardi Trophy.
In related news, how lucky is Ben Simmons?
That’s his birthday posse. Hopefully he squeezes in some time to work on his jumper.
