The Carolina Panthers Stun Super Bowl Champion Eagles On The Field And On Social Media

CAMPHILLY

The Carolina Panthers entered the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles trailing 17-0. Yet, by game’s end they rallied for one of the biggest comebacks in franchise history in a 21-17 victory over the Eagles on Sunday.

Carolina overcame a 17-point deficit by scoring touchdowns on three straight possessions to take a four-point lead with less than two minutes left in the game. A Carson Wentz fumble with just seconds remaining sealed Philadelphia’s fate.

Soon after the game, the 3-4 Eagles took another L but this time on Twitter. Last season, numerous Eagles wore dog masks to salute their underdog role throughout the playoffs. Well, Panthers Twitter did not forget this by posting some dog masks of their own:

It was a rough day for Eagles players and fans (sorry, pun not intended). Cam Newton and the Panthers had the loudest bark on Sunday.
