Sunday was a weird day for Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley. Incredibly, the Rams won the NFC Championship in a game where Gurley only touched the ball five times.
While Gurley’s lack of touches was a big storyline, the officials stole the show in the Big Easy. After the game, the Georgia Bulldog was all too happy to remind Saints fans of an ill-fated missed pass interference call that in all likelihood kept New Orleans out of the Super Bowl.
He took to Instagram to post this picture of himself a photoshopped version of head referee Bill Vinovich:
Now, considering the level of pettiness that the Saints often display after wins, one can only get but so mad over Gurley’s post. However, a picture of a Photoshop-induced jersey swap will surely draw the ire of Saints fans in what some are saying is the worst officiating call in NFL history.
Gurley’s Rams will be back at it in two weeks against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII. They may need a few more of those fortuitous calls in a couple of weeks to grab a win.
