Months following the sad events that took place in Los Angeles following a Giants/Dodgers game, another San Francisco team is in the news after fan violence struck at Saturday night’s Raiders-49ers battle.
Two men were shot outside of Candlestick Park following the game.
A 24-year-old man, sporting a “F-the 49ers” shirt was shot four times and admitted to San Francisco’s General Hospital. He is listed in critical condition.
Police apprehended a suspect that is believed to be a Raiders fan.
Local authorities found a second shooting victim in the parking lot but he only suffered from superficial wounds.
The pair of shootings was a part of a violent night at Candlestick Park.
Another man was found in a stadium bathroom beaten into an unconscious state and is considered to have life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, reports state fights took place in the stands throughout the game and on occasion diverted the players’ attention away from action.
The attacks are still under investigation.
