Kevin Kolb Is Made Of Glass

Kevin Kolb had a forgettable start to the Arizona Cardinals quarterback competition on Sunday night, culminating with a bruised chest muscle injury suffered against the Saints during the Hall of Fame game.

Kolb was intercepted by Malcolm Jenkins on Arizona’s initial drive. Then, Saints defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis smashed the Cardinals quarterback into the turf on the following march, causing the injury.

Overall, Kolb finished 1 of 4 for 4 yards and an interception.

John Skelton, Kolb’s primary competition, made a strong push by leading the Cardinals to their lone touchdown while completing four of six passes for 32 yards in the 17-10 loss.

Since he was named Philadelphia’s starting quarterback prior to the 2010 season, Kolb’s seasons have been derailed by injury.

If he wants to make something of his time in Arizona, Kolb better stay out of the Whirlpool.
