Andy Reid & Michael Vick Combine For A Major Gaffe In Eagles Loss To Arizona

The Arizona Cardinals took advantage of another porous offensive line on Sunday. This time the Philadelphia Eagles were victimized in a 27-6 loss to Arizona.

However, Arizona got some help from their counterparts.

With just six seconds remaining in the first half, Reid elected to send the offense out for another play from the Arizona 1 rather than trying to trim the deficit to 17-3 before halftime.

Instead, Vick was crushed by unblocked safety Kerry Rhodes and ex-Patriot James Sanders scooped and scored on a  93-yard fumble return. Arizona went from potentially leading by 14 at the half to being up by 24.

Vick never saw Rhodes coming but it shouldn’t have gotten to that point. A turnover prone Vick with six seconds left trying to make a play wasn’t a good idea.

Game over.
