49ERS 27, FALCONS 17 – The 49ers have waited a year to get back to the NFC title game but will have to punch their Super Bowl ticket on the road in the first-ever conference championship game in Atlanta. The Falcons have plenty of weapons but San Francisco’s read option will be too difficult to slow on the turf with a banged up Falcons defense. Plus, if the game gets tight late…Harbaugh > Mike Smith.

PATRIOTS 31, RAVENS 27 – Everyone is so sure this is going to be a tight game that it makes me hesitant to think it’s going to be another nail-biter. One of the storylines out of last year’s game turned out to be Joe Flacco “outplaying” Tom Brady. While Brady is playing against an arguably tougher defense, he’ll have to be on top of his game with Flacco trying to drop bombs on the Patriots secondary. Once again, the Patriots will have just enough to squeeze by Baltimore.
