There is absolutely nothing wrong with supporting a friend. It’s a common life practice. Unfortunately for Aaron Rodgers, once his support became highly vocal people failed to forget about it yesterday after Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun was suspended for the remainder of the MLB season because of his involvement in a PED scandal.
Back in December 2011, Rodgers stated his support for Braun during a radio interview and believed he was “100 percent” innocent.
In the moments following Braun’s suspension, a tweet from Rodgers back in February 2012 resurfaced.
A fan asked of Rodgers “you really believe he didn’t do PED’s????”
Rodgers replied that he’d put next year’s salary on Braun’s innocence.
Woops. Rodgers will make $39.5 million this season.
When it comes to baseball and PEDs (in the immortal words of Stone Cold Steve Austin), D.T.A…don’t trust anybody.
