Russell Wilson turned water into wine while preserving a Seattle Seahawks win on Monday night over the Washington Professional Football Team.
Wilson posted 201 yards passing and 122 yards rushing, along with three total touchdowns in Seattle’s 27-17 road win.
Faced with a 3rd and 4 from midfield, Wilson dropped back to throw and then ran backward to allude traffic. Eventually, Wilson settled on flipping a short pass to Marshawn Lynch, who scampered 30 yards for a first down that essentially sealed the game.
That is how you scramble!
You scramble to buy time in the pocket to make a better play downfield….not take off at the first sign of trouble.
Russell Wilson proved that he isn’t just the one of the best young quarterbacks in the game, he proved last night he is one of the best quarterbacks in football.
