Today is National Signing Day in college football as the nation’s best high school football players announce their intent to join programs.

As a result, one of the great moments in North American sports history took place today when Tom Brady met legendary professional wrestler Ric Flair.

My two favorite non-family/friends ever are Flair and Brady.

I saw this picture and I almost cried real man tears.

Perhaps the highlight of the moment was captured in a video by Derek Jeter’s The Players’ Tribune website. After Flair asked Brady for a picture with him, Brady asked Flair’s fiancee to take a picture of them on his phone.

I am proud to be an American.

By the way, special thanks to Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh for bringing these two men together.

So to recap, Tom Brady and the Patriots had to lose the AFC title to Peyton Manning and the Broncos for this picture to happen.

If the Pats won, these two would not have met.
